Natural routine for blemish-prone and acne-prone skin

What routine for your oily skin?

An effective routine for blemish-prone skin isn't necessarily more complex.
It relies on a few key steps, applied consistently. Simple steps, suitable products - and more stable skin over time.

Too many products, not enough results

When skin has imperfections, the reflex is often to add more products.
The result: a routine that becomes complex... without necessarily improving the skin.

An effective routine rarely relies on more products.
It relies on a clear structure — and well-chosen active ingredients.

The basics: a 4-step routine

  1. Cleanse
  2. Hydrate
  3. Nourish
  4. Protect

No need to do everything systematically.

  • Minimal routine: cleanse + hydrate + nourish
  • Alternative: cleanse + hydrate + protect
  • Complete routine: all 4 steps

A simple, well-applied structure often yields better results than an accumulation of treatments. Here's the order in which to apply the products.

🧭 1. Cleanse — without aggressing

Objective: eliminate excess sebum and impurities, without disturbing the skin.

Sensitive or fragile skin
Gentle cleansing foam
→ leaves skin clean, without tightness

Certified organic cosmetic by Ecocert.
Yuka score: 87/100 (excellent)

Combination to oily skin
Purifying cleansing gel (with zinc)
→ effectively cleanses and helps gradually regulate sebum.

Certified organic cosmetic by Cosmébio. You can buy this gel with your eco-vouchers.
Yuka score: 93/100 (excellent)

Oily, more resistant skin
Deeper cleanser (charcoal)
→ use in moderation

Certified organic cosmetic by Cosmébio. You can buy this soap with your eco-vouchers.
Yuka score: 100/100 (excellent)

💡 Aggressed skin often produces more sebum to compensate.

💧 2. Hydrate — often underestimated step

This is often the most underestimated step — yet it plays a direct role in sebum regulation. Should oily skin be hydrated? Yes, even oily skin can be dehydrated — and produce more sebum to compensate. The products below aim to provide water to the skin, while also constituting a real treatment step for blemish-prone skin.

 Daily option

Aqueous serum with hyaluronic acid, aloe vera and zinc
→ hydrates, soothes and helps regulate.

Certified Cosmos organic by Ecocert.
Yuka score: 98/100 (excellent)

Clarifying serum – Wondr (Niacinamide 10%)
The active ingredient in this serum, Niacinamide, regulates sebum, reduces imperfections, visually tightens pores, and fades spots. It is an ultra-complete synthetic active. The formulation also provides hydrating & soothing support thanks to aloe vera, panthenol (B5), and glycerin. Finally, inulin and allantoin in the formula help with healing and soothing. An effective, ultra-complete, and refillable product!

One point of caution: the high concentration of niacinamide (10%), a quality in itself, can cause tingling and redness. Be careful if your skin is sensitive.

Yuka score: 100/100 (excellent).

Clogged pores / persistent imperfections
Gentle exfoliating serum (vegetal salicylic acid)
→ This serum deeply unclogs pores, but not only. It is a true extract of green chemistry, which reduces existing pimples, prevents new imperfections and maintains balanced skin. A very complete product.

Use 2 to 3 times a week.

Yuka score: 100/100 (excellent)

💡 This is often a neglected step… yet it truly changes the skin's balance.

🛢️ 3. Nourish — necessary even for oily skin

Objective: provide lipids to strengthen the skin.

Applying oil to oily skin may seem counter-intuitive.
In practice, well-nourished skin regulates its sebum production better. When chosen well, certain oils can improve skin balance without weighing it down. The oils used in products are often selected precisely for their non-comedogenic nature.

 Balancing option

Light oil serum with bakuchiol, a natural alternative to retinol).
→ improves skin texture in the long term.

Interesting for more mature skin for whom the anti-aging action of bakuchiol is also relevant. The lavender scent of this serum also makes it very pleasant.

Although the serum itself is not certified, the plant-based ingredients in this serum are organic.

Yuka score: 90/100 (excellent)

Simplified option (2-in-1)
Bioflore organic clear skin fluid.
→ nourishes, purifies and can replace the use of a day cream.

An interesting option if you want to simplify without losing effectiveness. This fluid is a real cocktail of active ingredients derived from essential oils: lavender, rosemary, tea tree, sage...

However, avoid if you have allergies.

Yuka score: 72 (good)

🛡️ 4. Protect — stabilize the skin

Objective: strengthen the skin barrier.

Eau thermale Jonzac - Purifying anti-blemish treatment with zinc and algae.
Suitable for combination to oily skin.

This purifying treatment is THE cream for acne-prone skin at Jonzac. It is organic certified by Cosmebio and can be purchased with eco-vouchers.

Yuka score: 86/100

Wondr day cream with niacinamide + ceramides.
Helps regulate, protect, and improve skin stability.
Here again, the combination of niacinamide and ceramides makes this cream very effective in your arsenal. It evens out skin tone and reduces imperfections for soft, radiant skin all day long. Once empty, the tube can be fully disposed of in the blue bag for recycling the aluminum it's made of.
At €19.95, we can talk about excellent value for money.

Yuka score: 100/100

💡 Protected skin reacts less — and develops fewer imperfections.

🧼 Complementary actions (if needed)

These steps are not essential, but can make a difference.

Occasional pimple

Tea tree is an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory essential oil that helps to dry out pimples and accelerate their disappearance.
Use in localized application, as it is a powerful active ingredient that can irritate if incorrectly dosed.

Purifying mask (1x/week)
→ absorbs excess sebum

🚫 Mechanical scrubs tend to irritate the skin and maintain imperfections.

✨ What about post-pimple marks?

Certain active ingredients help to gradually improve the skin's appearance:

  • niacinamide → evens out
  • bakuchiol → improves texture
  • zinc → soothes

🎯 Building a routine that lasts

A well-structured routine often yields better results than multiplying products.

By simply structuring the steps and choosing appropriate active ingredients, the skin gradually regains a better balance.

And once it works, you rarely want to go back.
