Savon du Midi shea butter soaps are made in Provence, France. Soap making from vegetable oils has a long tradition around the Mediterranean. The main regions in the south of France are Marseille and Provence. Only vegetable oils from controlled organic farming are used in the saponification process to make soap. After saponification, shea butter and, depending on the variety, honey, perfume or essential oil are added during the final treatment. Savon du Midi soaps are made according to the traditional know-how of Provençal soapmaking. This predominantly artisanal mode of production is reflected in the quality of a gentle and nourishing soap.

No animal fat is used in any of the soaps.
