A small tree with evergreen foliage, the bitter orange tree, or bitter orange tree, adorns many orange groves in the Mediterranean basin. The essential oil extracted from its white flowers with their sweet fragrance is very popular with perfumers. Its first uses, in Italy, date back to the 16th century. Precious and subtle, it releases floral and sweet aromas, typical of orange blossom and recognizable among all.
